Thank you to all of those who survived the April showers to come out to our YPN event at Robusta Cafe & Lounge! For the month of May we have lots of events for Young Professionals in Guelph who are looking to get out there.

May 9th 

Lead Yourself’ Event is a breakfast and morning event from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Cutten Fields in Guelph. This event has a series of speakers, includes a breakfast, time for networking, and some fun activities along the way around the topic of leadership!

YPN and Guelph Chamber of Commerce present the Social Fusion. From 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Keg Steakhouse & Bar in Guelph. Get your tickets fast as this event is always a popular one!

May 12th 

United Way GenNext Downtown Walking Tour is an event where you can get some networking done while having an interactive walking tour of Downtown Guelph so… sign me up! This event has stops at The Albion, Miijidaa, Western Hotel, and Royal Electric.

We’re excited to have Cale Fair of Gelaskins speaking to our group of young professionals. Cale is a former Guelph-region guy who’s been living in Toronto for the past 10 years (with a brief interruption to travel) His family goes back several generations in the area, in fact his G.G. Grandfather was Guelph’s Mayor in 1897. When he’s in town, catch him at Borealis, the Farmer’s Market and visiting friends + family. He’s also perpetually missing Cagney’s restaurant. #bestcaesarsaladever

Cale has been helping to build the business at GelaSkins Inc. for over 5 years, handling everything from its retail program to global strategic partnerships. Prior to, he spent 4 years as  a reporter/producer at CFRB 1010 in Toronto, Canada’s oldest radio station still in operation. Cale builds and fosters relationships. He make sales that make sense. He likes wearing many hats. Cale believes in the unstoppable power of a cohesive team.

20 seconds of fame…again and again for a month: The team at Intrigue Media donated a 20 second ad to run for one month on their mesmerizing video screens throughout Guelph. Congratulations to Marco Muzzi of Muzzi Marketing.
